Abstract
ZnO-Al2O3 ceramics were prepared by the solid reaction between respective oxide powders. Two types of Al2 O3 source were used as starting materials, one was a commercially available α-Al2O3 powder and another was an AIOOH (boehmite) fine powder prepared by the colloidal process. In this study, effects of sintering conditions and Al2 O3 sources on the thermoelectric properties of ZnO-Al 2O3 ceramics are investigated. As a result, ZnO doped with Al2O3 of 1~1.5 mol% via the colloidal technique showed the largest power factor of approximately 3.6×10 -4 W·m-1·K-2 (at 900°C) in this research
