Abstract
A series of wedge-shaped piezoelectric transformers (WSPTs) and Rosen-shaped piezoelectric transformer (RSPT) will be discussed in this paper. According to the results of calculation, simulation and experiment, its width ratio of WSPT is smaller, the voltage gain and efficiency is higher. On average, the voltage gain and efficiency of WSPTs are higher than RSPT. In addition, the voltage gain and efficiency of the full-wave mode is higher than the half-wave mode as to RSPT and WSPTs.
