Abstract :
This paper depicts a digital rights management (DRM) system that implements the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to protect digital audiovisual (AV) content, e.g., DVD. In such a system, a RFID tag is embedded in each disc. When such a disc containing digital AV content is purchased from retail store, information will be scrambled and stored in the embedded RFID tag. A compatible player with fingerprint scanner and RFID reader can authenticate the scrambled information in the RFID tag and play back the copyright protected AV content
