Abstract :
In this paper, a novel lens integrated ring-resonator micro strip antenna structure has been analyzed and simulated at 600 GHz. The directivity of the antenna has been obtained with the help of the geometrical model which predicts the directivity of the proposed antenna that is 18 dBi. Subsequently, the prediction has been validated with the help of another computational method extensively used in the past. Further, the structure has been simulation by using CST Microwave Studio a finite integral based commercially available simulator. The simulated result shows the directivity of the antenna to be about 17.43 dBi which is comparable to the analytical model. Apart from the complete antenna, the directivity of the stand alone dielectric lens has also been calculated and validated.
