Abstract :
In this paper an adaptive control scheme for synchronous generators with uncertainties and input constraints is proposed. The adaptive controller guarantees the stability of the plant in the presence of input constraints, with prespecified conditions on the upper bounds for the controller parameter matrices and initial conditions of the plant. The results applied on a synchronous generator with shaft speed and load angle control, when it is assumed that mechanical and electrical inputs lie in specified bounds. Finally, the performance of the controller is shown by a simulation study
