Abstract :
This paper presents the design and implementation of deterministic linear network coding algorithm according to the structural features of HM-ALM, which is a high-quality application layer multicast system. Through experiments the algorithm characteristics and its impact on multicast performance are analyzed. The experimental results show that the cost of network coding algorithm is related to the regularity and the size of packets. And the adjustment of these two parameters can change the time and bandwidth of encoding and decoding. At the same time, network coding can increase the system flexibility, reduces the impact of node failure on the system performance, and it can improve the system robustness.
