  • Abstract
There are many methods of measuring the frequency of a periodic electric signal. In this paper we present a microprocessor based frequency meter for a frequency range from 1 Hz to 100 KHz. Using the "smart display" approach we are able to display different data about the status of a measurement by only changing the program. The testing results have shown agreement, in a wide range of frequencies, with the existing IIP-frequency meter.
