Abstract :
This paper presents the improvements that can be obtained in terms of efficiency during the IP encapsulation in the DVB-H standard. IP encapsulation plays a very important role in DVB-H as during this process two main new functionalities with respect to DVB-T are introduced: additional FEC to the MPE and time-slicing. In this paper, the effect of the different encapsulation parameters will be analysed and an efficient IP encapsulator that optimises these features is presented
