Abstract :
We present a parallel optical compare and exchange (C and E) module that compares all the bits of two words in parallel. The implementation of the parallel C and E module utilizes smart pixel arrays based on the hybrid integration of heterojunction phototransistors (HPTs) and vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs). This paper describes the design of the parallel C and E modules
