Abstract :
In order to enhance the sorption capacity of bagasse on direct red 81, it was treated with four acids, namely palmitic, stearic, oleic and propionic acids. The effects of various experimental variables pH, sorbent dose, initial dye concentration and contact time were investigated. The kinetics of dye adsorption fit well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and it obeys the Langmiur equation.
