Abstract :
The variety of traffic types in 3G packet based wireless networks have different needs in terms of transport channel access and resource allocation. In practice, the performance of the traffic transport is largely defined by medium access control (MAC) parameters. We address uplink random access channel (RACH) in the frequency division duplex (FDD) mode of the wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) system and its behavior in the cell of variable conditions. In this paper, we present the simulation results for the random access channel.
