Abstract
The Malaysian move towards industrialization has been very positive indeed. The current development of the industrial hubs need more planning and customization to meet the needs of the new era. As Third World countries continue to expand their move towards modernization, technology, infrastructure and tax incentives will not be sufficient to convince investors to continue investing in the Malaysia. To be a step ahead of the rest of the competitors, Malaysia would need to organize a smarter approach, which will see a more centralized and customized industrial hub. These industrial hubs will consist of manufacturers who will be interdependent on each other to survive and to be cost effective. The nucleus of this proposed smart investment hub will be an anchor entity which will facilitate and mother all its child nodes. The glue to this delicate but strong bond will be in the form of information technology.
