Abstract
We review 10 years of experimental and theoretical studies on instabilities, chaos and space-time complexity in laser systems. From the first experiment showing the existence of chaos until the most recently results on the existence of turbulence in optics, a whole new subject was developed using theoretical results that can be applied to many different sciences like biology, chemistry, physics, etc
