Abstract
Today is the age of information we can have it as and when required this kind of freedom is hampering the software industry in a very big way & one of which is piracy of software. The decision to use or not to use pirated or freely available software on the net depends on the individual´s ethical standard. A person´s ethical and moral inclination across various ethical dilemmas may indicate their likelihood to pirate software. This paper explores the different factors that consumer considers before going for the free downloading, pirating or purchasing particular software.
