Abstract :
Mobile multimedia network applications are growing rapidly today. Multiprocessor system on chip (MPSoC) with powerful computing ability and low power consumption fits the trend well. A mobile multimedia network terminal is realized with MPSoC chip - OMAP3530. By expanding various peripherals, the terminal hardware platform is constructed, and by porting Linux and DSP/BIOS Bridge, the software architecture is accomplished. The network and DSP function of the terminal are then assessed through some testing. Experiment results indicate that the terminal is well designed and suitable for mobile multimedia applications.
