Supply chain management (SCM) information systems (IS) as an effective means to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, is being more and more attention. For the specific characteristics of SCM information system and the functional deficiency of existing two-Tiers C/S structure, this paper presents a solution based on J2EE architecture. Firstly, the paper describes the J2EE framework, multi-tier structure and key technologies, then analyzes the functional requirements of SCM information system in detail, and proposes the ideas of system design, and finally shows the project of J2EE-based SCM information system applied to home appliance products, and illustrates the system workflow.
