Abstract
This paper describes the mathematical underpinning used to analyse two dimensional movements with time using Fourier analysis techniques. Interpreting the complex harmonic components, from Fourier analysis by positive and negative phasor sequence components allows a clear interpretation of the analysis and synthesis of a waveform to take place. The mathematical equations realize in the time domain the dasiaelliptical corkscrewpsila structures associated with each harmonic. These techniques are applied to hand gesture trajectory, modeled as an aperiodic waveform, having two dimensional spatial movement with time.
