Abstract :
The paper describes the conception and design of a high voltage power supply. Basically it is composed of a series resonant converter operating in continuous conduction mode and a high voltage transformer which feeds high voltage stack rectifiers diodes without a smoothing filter. The suggested converter is very applicable to CO2 laser excitation. The inverter works in a continuous or pulsed way with an output power of 2 kW. The power regulation is performed by frequency variation
