Abstract
The paper deals with a procedure for the estimation of harmonic parameters of a distorted sine-wave. The procedure is based on repeated applications of the well-known three-parameter sine-fit algorithm. It is simple to implement, very fast, and provides very accurate parameter estimates. Furthermore, accuracy comparisons with a state-of-the-art multiharmonic sine-fitting algorithm and the Interpolated Discrete Fourier Transform (IpDFT) method based on the Hann window is performed using both computer simulations and experimental results. The statistical behavior of the achieved estimators is also analyzed by means of computer simulations.
