Abstract :
The authors review the SRM (switched reluctance motor) drive technology. They present some of the simplified technology which has been developed in the lab and elsewhere. The emphasis is on elimination of discrete rotor position sensors and discrete current sensors. The theoretical apsects of the different methods of position sensing and the relevant experimental results are also presented
