Abstract :
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the largest cause of death and disability in the world. Besides medicines, the principle treatment of this condition requires opening of the narrowed arteries, responsible for angina and other symptoms of the disease, by angioplasty or surgery. The current solution for CAD is implant of metallic stents which has several drawbacks. The metallic stents has to be replaced on timely basis through multiple surgeries. Nanotechnology, the promising technology of the 21st century can come as a path breaking technology to cure CAD. In this paper we have developed an algorithm for the propagation of the nano robot and implemented a nano controller using QCA architecture and simulation results were compared with the matlab simulation. During blood clot the pressure exerted by the blood on the arteries is high, the increase in pressure can be modeled as the change in the conductance of the of the piezo electric ZNO nano wire. The conductance change above a threshold can trigger transmission of EM signals through micro strip antenna. Upon the reception of signal the nano robot will navigate towards the blood clot of the constricted arteries.
