Abstract :
Videoconferencing has become more popular in recent years. The conference situation can be very complex with several participants using different types of equipment. To ensure a good quality, agreed methods to quantify the subjective quality of telemeetings are needed. The development of such assessment methods is ongoing in ITU-T Study Group 12. This paper describes several subjective tests performed at Ericsson, both one-way and conversational tests. The purpose of these tests was to increase the knowledge on the perceived quality of different telemeeting scenarios and to develop test methodologies for quality evaluation of multiparty conversations.
