Abstract :
We propose a centralized contention-free polling scheme for guaranteed quality-of-service wireless multiple access to ATM networks. This scheme treats network resource as tokens, and therefore can be easily applied to TDMA or CDMA systems. Real-time CBR and VBR traffic are given higher priorities. The remaining bandwidth is shared by ABR/UBR sources in order to achieve high bandwidth utilization. ABR traffic is guaranteed with a minimum cell rate and UBR traffic is served with a best-effort strategy
