Abstract :
In this paper, detailed investigations are given on the inter-system interference between a DS/CDMA cellular system and a strong TDMA system in the downlink operated in the same area using the adjacent spectrum. Based on a simulation model which is taking into account various realistic factors for CDMA cellular systems, we have evaluated the impact of intermodulation between DS/CDMA and TDMA on the outage probability of CIR. The simulation results confirm that U/D has a strong impact on the reduction of system capacity while wider channel spacing between DS/CDMA and TDMA, and high peak back off of the amplifier can improve output CIR
