Abstract :
An internal dual-band mobile phone antenna designed to operate at GSM900 and GSM1800 bands is presented. The antenna is derived from a quarter-wave planar inverted F-type antenna, which has at this state proved to be the most promising candidate for mobile applications due to its compact size and good performance. The FDTD method is used in the study and an experimental verification is also provided.
