Abstract :
In this work we present a method for the combined analysis of MR and PET images for the early assessment of Alzheimer´s disease. This method is fully automatic and can get local structural and functional information from brain scans. By combining functional information with those provided by structural MRI modality, it is possible to improve the ability to discriminate between healthy and diseased patients.
