Abstract :
The authors have developed a complex system for cardiovascular real-time monitoring, examination, and diagnosis which permits analysis of central (thorax, lung) and peripheral pulse impedance of different (small and large) vessels simultaneously with analysis of cardiointerval variability. The Fourier transform is used for spectral analysis of variability of such parameters as heart rate, stroke volume, blood pressure, and small and large vessel pulsation amplitude. Impedance data are explored for analyzing pulsations redistribution without calculating blood flow except for stroke volume and cardiac output. For diagnosis not only absolute values of cardiovascular parameters but also their dynamics of change from beat to beat and from test to test are used. Clinical testing of the system was successful
