Abstract
Four polymeric materials for HV outdoor application have been aged under climatic, mechanical and electrical stress factors. Two machines have been used to age these materials under UV. Synergistic effects have been found to exist when the mechanical aging factor and the UV stress are applied simultaneously. No such effects were measured when the electric stress was combined with the other aging factors. It has also been established that the aging under UV light is more efficiently performed with a xenon-arc lamp.<>
