About the Integral Presentations of Hertzian Vector-Potential Components for the Field of a Point Dipole Oscillating Inside Dielectric Film

Abstract :
The problem concerning the field of a point dipole oscillating harmonically between two plane interfaces is treated. Analytical integral expressions of Hertzian vector-potential components are presented for vertical and horizontal dipole polarization (layer thickness, dipole position and media dielectric constants assumed to be known). There is an accordance with well-known results for limiting cases. Integral calculations are realizable by means of complex analysis methods and its results could be used to study the 3-dimensional problem of an incident plane wave (either external or surface-waveguide ones) diffraction on a structure inside waveguide dielectric layer. Resonance conditions here for Wood´s anomalies turn out to be something different from the classical cases of the electromagnetic wave diffraction on periodical structures
