  • Abstract
    Cloud-RAN is an entirely new wireless radio access paradigm based on GPP(General Purpose Processor) platform. It integrates the ideas of centralized processing, collaborative radio and real-time cloud infrastructure. CoMP (Coordinated Multiple Points) is a key technique in LTE-Advanced. But it is really a challenge to implement real-time CoMP transmission on GPP platform because many factors can affect the performance of soft CoMP base stations. In this paper, We implemented a real-time CoMP architecture on GPP platform by optimizing soft base stations design and data exchange categories. This architecture is fully compatible with TD-LTE R8/R9. The test results show that it can ensure real-time processing and provide stable downlink CoMP transmission for TD-LTE R8/R9 users.
