Abstract :
A compact Ultra-wideband (UWB) slot antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is proposed. The antenna has a compact size of 22 mm×15 mm and wide operating bandwidth of 110% (3.2~10.6 GHz). By etching an L-shaped quarter-wavelength open-ended slot and two half-wavelength short-ended ring slots on the ground, a UWB antenna with dual notched band characteristics is achieved. Selectivity of the notched band is improved in a large extent as two-order ring resonators are employed. Simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna exhibit a broadband impedance matching and stable radiation patterns.
