Abstract :
We present a model for variable bit rate traffic in ATM with the view point of bulk arrival, and explain that the modeling with long correlation (self similar) presented by Likhanov (see INFOCOM´95), etc. is essentially a bulk arrival model. We analyse the queueing performance of the model using M(Bulk)/D/1; the results are in agreement with Likhanov´s results using M/G/1. Two errors in Likhanov´s paper are corrected
