Abstract :
With citypsilas rapid development, environment and resource problem is more and more prominent. For the sake of achieving the basic aim of the city environmental sustainable development, we need establishing an assessment model for predict the environment effectiveness of China city. In this paper, a new environment effect assessment system for China city is presented. The assessment system based on rough sets and support vector machines (SVM) method, which combines rough sets approach and SVM. It is different from traditional methods. We can get reduced information table by rough sets, which imply that the number of index and qualitative variables is reduced with no information loss through rough set approach. And then, this reduced information table is used to develop classification rules and train SVM. The result of the positive research indicated that this system is very valid for assessment of China city environment effectiveness and it will have a good application prospect in this area.
