Abstract :
The algorithm for calculation and optimization of mode transformers based on the curved rectangular waveguides with metal ridges is developed. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the waveguide are calculated using the mode matching technique with the account of the field singularities at the edges. The calculation of amplitude coefficients of propagating modes in irregular waveguides is accomplished by the cross-section method
