Abstract :
The performance of multi-carrier CDMA modulation is derived and verified with respect to the subchannelization capability of the transmultiplexer in transceivers. Depending of the architecture of the transmultiplexer performing the modulation/demodulation the inter-channel and intersymbol interference can be determined. The transmultiplexer using a cosine modulated filter bank (CMFB) composed of N Nyquist bandpass filters with a filter genus bigger than one performs better than the conventional method that uses the FFT. To verify the behavior of the proposed MC-CDMA system with respect to the number of subcarrier and genus of the prototype filter, the reverse-link bit error rates under flat fading and additive white Gaussian noise channel environments are analyzed and simulated. The results show a 3 dB improvement over the conventional MC-CDMA
