This paper presents a new kind of filter for image processing that we call the feedforward neural filter (FNF). The FNF employs a feedforward neural network which performs the filtering directly. It is now intended to be a research model which can be used to study how to employ the powerful nonlinear mapping capacity of feedforward network for filtering the noise in an image
