Abstract :
We have analyzed rigorously the SH elastic wave diffraction for the finite crack located at the plane interface between two dissimilar elastic perfectly joined isotropic materials. A plane wave incidence is considered. The problem is formulated in terms of the Wiener-Hopf equation, which is solved exactly via the factorization procedure. The numerical calculation results for wide band frequency range are presented for diffracted far field patterns. The peculiarities of the far field distribution at the critical angle directions are analyzed, as well as the probability of the defect showings are discussed
