Abstract
A review of our recent advances in the multi-look SAR processing technique is presented. The problem of the formation of high-quality multi-look SAR images under unstable aircraft flight conditions is solved with a built-in geometric correction algorithm together with a radiometric correction approach with an extended number of looks. A novel technique for 3D topography retrieving with a conventional strip-map SAR is described. New benefits from building multi-looks SAR images are demonstrated. The proposed solutions are supported by radar data obtained with a Ku-band airborne SAR.
