Abstract
This study includes the details about the reliability considerations which have to be taken into account during design lifecycle of space systems. Both qualitative and quantitative reliability approaches which compose a reliability program and guarantee the specified probability of success for the successful completion of mission performance at the end of the required mission time are outlined theoretically. Then the study is enriched with generic examples for each method of both approaches. The information presented in this study is the result of experience gained from the satellite design and manufacturing programs of Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI).
