Abstract

This paper describes the applicability of a management model to control the process of medical equipment maintenance at the Center for Biomedical Engineering (CEB) of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). The model is based on a state-diagram in which all maintenance activities are represented. Results show reduction on the average time to conclude service orders and improvement of management conditions of the clinical engineers.
