Abstract :
The paper presents a theoretical study of a rectilinear quasi-neutral non-relativistic electron beam interaction with semiconductor plasma in a rectangular waveguide placed in longitudinal static magnetic field. It is shown that such an interaction gives rise to broad-band instabilities of space-charge waves and cyclotron waves, propagating along the beam-plasma interface. We also show that the increase in the external magnetic field and the effective frequency of electron collisions in the semiconductor tend to decrease the instability growth rates of the waves considered here
