Abstract :
Summary form only as given. Research describing the role of power modulators for the production of transient plasmas for environmental applications is described, and results of studies of the application of transient plasmas to the abatement of emission of NO and other forms of NOx by diesel engines are presented. Very good efficiencies for NOx reduction have been achieved through careful design of both the modulator and the plasma reactor. A number of other applications are discussed
