Abstract
Optical imaging techniques have been shown to be powerful tools for investigating cortical functional architecture and dynamics with high spatio-temporal resolution in normal and disease brain. In this paper, the technical background and present applications of two optical imaging techniques, intrinsic optical signal imaging and laser speckle imaging are reviewed.
