Abstract :
“CanSat” is a nano scale satellite model, weighting 350 to 1050 g, which provides excellent training opportunities. These satellites are launched through the rocket and it can reach a height between 150 m or 2000m. Then having separated from the satellite rockets, it begins to perform its duties in the course of free fall. These tasks are adapted from the present-day space missions like that terraforming and air bag missions. This concept which is the combination of words in English come from Can and Satellite, spreading to the world from Japan and United States, This system has been worked on by undergraduate students in our country over the last two. The satellite team founded by undergraduate students participated in international competitions and was awarded in MERIT Award (Method to Extend Research in Time). Studies have been initiated in this year´s in Turkish Air Force Academy. This study which is the first step for people studying and interested in this field has taken place in our country´s space activities.
