Abstract :
Because of the complex boundary condition for the folded waveguide traveling-wave tube (FWTWT), there is no accurate circuit fields for FWTWT from now on. It is very difficult to compute the alternating current (AC) space-charge fields which are the key to study the nonlinear beam-wave interaction of FWTWT. In this paper, a new method is investigated. It is show that the scalar potential which results from AC space-charge is very similar between disk-loaded waveguide and FWTWT. Both slow-wave structures are simulated by Maxwell software based on the same dimensions.
