Abstract :
By using edge element method, the transmission characteristics of the multiple layer dielectric loaded circular ridge waveguide have been studied in this paper. Variations of the cutoff wavelength and single-mode bandwidth with the ridge dimensions for different values of dielectric constant have been investigated in detail. Further more, the field patterns of the waveguide also have been presented. It is shown that the waveguide would gain a higher single mode bandwidth as the distance of the ridges is closer.
