Title :
Organization and economical aspects of satellite networks with asymmetric Internet access
Abstract :
We discuss the organization, technical and economical aspects of satellite Internet networks with asymmetrical access, which puts up creation and operation costs. There are two existing methods of upstream channel creation for satellite Internet networks with asymmetric access. The first is the satellite upstream channel, and the second is PSTN or leased lines. The price of the satellite terminal system depends on the following elements: (1) antenna system; (2) cross-polarization value; (3) output power of transmitter and receiver sensitivity; (4) installation and setup; (5) license. These systems can be widely used only when the licensing scheme is simpler. It would be reasonable to follow the example of Europe and Russia as soon as possible.
