Abstract :
A series of tunable microwave low phase noise oscillators is reviewed. We demonstrate the basic performances of the oscillators and their circuitry solutions. The designed series bridges the frequency band from 100 MHz to 5 GHz by oscillators with a tunable band from 20% to 150% and having a phase noise no more -90 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz frequency. Three designs, covering the frequency ranges 110-1210 MHz, 1200-3900 MHz and 3800-5000 MHz, respectively, are introduced.
