A new efficient method of design on slot antenna

Abstract :
At the moment, there are many methods of designing dipole antenna. But there are few of methods for designing slot antenna which may have potential widespread use in the near future. For this purpose, this paper presents a new method of designing the slot antenna. According to the complementary relationship of both dipole antenna and slot antenna, and their impedance relationship formula, the complementary dipole antenna of the slot antenna which has specific impedance is searched with all designer´s strength firstly. Then the structure of the wanted slot antenna is very easily obtained from the complementary dipole antenna secondly. The results of simulation and design show that the method of design on slot antenna is a very efficient method.
