Abstract :
The results are presented of an investigation of the forced waves of a coupled cavity periodic structure of final length, i.e., results of research of forced waves in slow wave structures with inductive coupled cavities. The results establish the character of the change of the field amplitude and phase distribution of the system on the forced wave frequencies that are not equal to the self frequencies of the system. For the estimation of the efficiency of interaction of an electron beam with the field of a coupled cavity periodic structure with the transitional matching arrangement in a wide band of frequencies, it is necessary to take into account not only the character, but also the value, of change of distribution of amplitude and phase of a field on the length of system by propagation to its own and, especially, the forced waves.
